Question

Does Konstantin Kisin think the Iran war will stop Iran getting a nuclear weapon?

Answered from #2574 - Francis Foster & Konstantin Kisin · The Joe Rogan Experience · 2026-10-31

Konstantin Kisin said he shares the goal of a non-nuclear Iran but has heard no one explain how this war achieves it. He saw the earlier 12-day war, which targeted nuclear sites, as the percentage play. The wider war, he argued, teaches Tehran to survive and then get a bomb as fast as possible so it can never be attacked like this again. Citing Robert Pape, he said the alternative is regional balancing by strengthening Saudi Arabia and the UAE, while admitting he cannot judge whether that is right.
