What did Sophie Cunningham say about WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert?

Sophie Cunningham gave Cathy Engelbert some credit for running the league when it was much smaller, but said the commissioner does not talk to players. With Engelbert stepping down in December, Cunningham wants a successor with a backbone who treats it as a players-and-owners league, keeps open communication and embraces hard questions, pointing to Adam Silver's relationship with NBA players as the model.

• Von played a Dan Patrick clip about Engelbert skipping a scheduled interview after a two-hour wait.
• Cunningham said a commissioner who avoids interviews misses the moment when people finally want to talk about the league.
