Question

What does Chris Hansen's sextortion documentary reveal about how teen boys are targeted?

Answered from #351 Chris Hansen - Hollywood’s To Catch a Predator Movie: “They Make Me Look Like a Vampire” · The Shawn Ryan Show · 2026-10-26

Chris Hansen said he interviewed four sets of parents whose sons killed themselves after sextortion. Scammers in Nigeria posing as teenage girls on Instagram and Facebook traded photos with the boys, then threatened to send the images to family unless paid. The cases include Brandon Guffey, a South Carolina state representative who lost his son, and Jordan DeMay of Marquette, Michigan. In the DeMay case, Hansen says, the FBI had the scammers extradited from Nigeria, and they pleaded guilty and are serving federal prison time.
