Question

Do cheese and onion crisps have more salt than salt and vinegar, as No Such Thing As A Fish claims?

Answered from No Such Thing As The Otters Circling · No Such Thing As A Fish · 2026-11-05

Yes, for Walkers at least. Anna Ptaszynski checked the brand's own flavour pages: salt and vinegar lists 0.6g of salt per 100g, cheese and onion 1.2g and ready salted 1.3g. The panel suspects the vinegar's sharpness makes salt and vinegar taste saltier than it is.
