Question

Did Blink-182's Mark Hoppus help find Saddam Hussein?

Answered from No Such Thing As The Otters Circling · No Such Thing As A Fish · 2026-11-05

Mark Hoppus claims in his autobiography that, on an aircraft carrier in the Persian Gulf, he suggested to a Navy admiral flying drones in a carpet pattern that each broadcast an exact time signal. Picking that signal out of Saddam Hussein's videos would let analysts triangulate his location. Saddam was captured a few months later, but there is no evidence the idea was used.
