Question

Why did Brandon Boudreaux identify JJ's body in Rexburg, Idaho?

Answered from Talking Dateline: Blindsided · Dateline NBC · 2026-10-28

When Brandon Boudreaux arrived in Rexburg, JJ's grandparents Kay and Larry Woodcock were there, and Larry had vertigo and trouble standing. Someone had to identify JJ's body, so Boudreaux told Larry to stay and went himself. The producers saw it as a snap act of kindness that showed his character, and said it was one of the moments that made him emotional in the interview.
