Question

How did Walmart respond to Lindsay Owens and her book Gouged?

Answered from #693 - Consumer Advocate Lindsay Owens · This Past Weekend w/ Theo Von · 2026-11-03

Lindsay Owens said Walmart published an open letter from its CEO three days before Gouged came out, then a week after publication posted a letter addressed to her by name; she named Dan Bartlett, its federal affairs chief, as the man behind it. The letter said Walmart prices products, not people, and asked her to correct the record. Owens replied that Walmart creates the confusion by saying one thing in patents and to investors and another to customers, and urged it to withdraw pending patents and open its pricing to an outside auditor.
