What did two British hikers see on Flores in 2019, according to Gregory Forth?

Gregory Forth says two British hikers on a diving and climbing trip saw a creature on the high slopes of a Flores mountain in March 2019. Years later one reached him on LinkedIn after searching online for apes on the island. Forth interviewed them separately: one described a small bipedal man-like being, the other an unusually large monkey, which mirrors the range of descriptions he heard from local people.

• Neither hiker appeared to have read Forth's writing, and the sighting came before his 2022 book.
• A Dutch colleague has since placed camera traps on that volcano and plans to return with a team.
