Question

What story did Joe Rogan tell about comedian Richard Jeni?

Answered from #2575 - Sam Tallent · The Joe Rogan Experience · 2026-11-03

Joe Rogan described Richard Jeni as the best club comic on earth who was nonetheless unhappy because he wanted to be a film or TV star. Rogan recalled a host at Eastside Comedy Club on Long Island telling him Jeni had done four shows over a Friday and Saturday with four completely different hours, all of which killed, at a time when Rogan barely had 40 minutes. He said Jeni also helped Chris Rock shape his specials and was the one who would tell him a joke did not work.
