Question

Why does Andy Frisella dislike side hustle culture?

Answered from 1072. Q&AF: "Dead-End" Career, Safe Job Vs Dream Job & Reclaiming Your Fitness · REAL AF with Andy Frisella · 2026-10-26

Andy Frisella says every opportunity carries an opportunity cost, so a side project only makes sense if it can eventually grow bigger than your main work. Mowing lawns for a few extra dollars does nothing, he says, but mowing lawns to build the largest lawn care company in your state is a different thing. A hobby done for fulfilment, like making wooden widgets, is fine and not what he is criticising.
