Question

Is Ethan Evans happier as an executive coach than as an Amazon VP?

Answered from Ex-Amazon VP tells us what it’s really like working with Jeff Bezos · My First Million · 2026-10-28

Ethan Evans said he rated his happiness at Amazon 7 or 8 out of 10 and now puts it at 11 out of 12, adding that he did not know the scale went that high. His final Amazon target pay was $900,000, usually ending in the low millions, against 50 to 60 hours a week plus travel. As a coach he expects to earn $700,000 to $800,000 this year on about 20 hours a week. His main loss is identity and the platform of an Amazon title.
