No court has convicted anyone of murdering Tara Grinstead. Ryan Duke confessed to the GBI in 2017 but at his 2022 trial testified that Bo Dukes killed her, and a jury acquitted Duke of murder. Dateline reports the district attorney at the time said there was no evidence Bo Dukes killed her, and Dukes wrote to Dateline that he stands by the account he gave the GBI in 2017.
