Question

How did police search for Jay Hickey in Epsom, New Hampshire?

Answered from A Private Matter, Episode 4 · Bear Brook · 2026-11-04

According to police reports described by Jason Moon, Epsom police searched the Hickey house and barn, state police used cadaver dogs in and around the house, and state police then searched a half-mile radius for about three days. Fish and Game Lieutenant Adam Chaney declined a further search because the area had already been covered by cadaver dogs, searches are costly, and so many months had passed that any remains would likely lie under leaf cover.
