What did David Friedberg say about Anthropic's customer growth and the AI value chain?

David Friedberg said customers spending $100,000 or more with Anthropic rose from 200 at the end of 2024 to 1,500 at the end of 2025 and 11,900 by the end of September 2026. He estimated about a million businesses worldwide could spend that much as under 1% of their budgets, so Anthropic has reached about 1% of them. Tracing margins through the AI stack, he found everyone making money, with Nvidia earning 75% margins and Anthropic about 85% on incremental revenue.

Friedberg said each $1 of Nvidia's cost becomes $4 of Nvidia revenue.
Friedberg's assumption that customers earn 2 to 10 times their AI spend was his own guess, as he admitted when Chamath questioned it.
Jason Calacanis showed Microsoft growing revenue from $198 billion to $332 billion in four years while adding only about 2,000 staff.
