Question

Did Republican gerrymandering work in the 2026 midterms, according to Pod Save America?

Answered from Blue Tsunami! · Pod Save America · 2026-11-04

The Pod Save America hosts said the mid-decade gerrymanders mostly backfired. In Florida, the three Democrats the new map targeted, Jared Moskowitz, Darren Soto and Kathy Castor, all won with relative ease, and Democrats also took a district drawn as an easy Republican pickup. In Alabama, Shomari Figures won comfortably after the map was redrawn against him. The hosts said almost all of the Florida and Texas gerrymanders failed, though it was too early to say whether Republicans netted any seats overall.
