Question

Why did LeBron James become a WHOOP global ambassador?

Answered from WHOOP CEO, Will Ahmed: 50B Hours of Health Data, a 4 Million Member Data Moat, & the FDA Fight · All-In with Chamath, Jason, Sacks & Friedberg · 2026-10-29

Will Ahmed announced on All-In that LeBron James is now a WHOOP global ambassador after wearing the band for 11 years with no formal relationship. James was one of the first 100 people ever to wear it, which Ahmed says validated the unknown company early. Ahmed's rule is that a company should be careful paying anyone to use its product before it does big advertising, so athletes first had to love it. Paid deals came later as name, image and likeness rights for advertising.
